Jin Joong-kwon: "They Do It Knowing Everything... Because of 40% Supporters"

Jin Joong-kwon: "They Do It Knowing Everything... Because of 40% Supporters" Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon is giving a special lecture on the topic of "The Age of Post-Truth" at the National Future Forum seminar held on the 20th at the political culture platform cafe "House" in Yeouido, Seoul, co-hosted by Hwang Bo-seung-hee of the People Power Party and Kwon Eun-hee of the People Party. [Asia Economy reporters Seunggon Han and Yeongeun Kim] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized the Moon Jae-in administration and the ruling party, saying, "They must know themselves that what they are saying is nonsense."

On the 26th, former professor Jin wrote on his Facebook, "Chu Mi-ae's sharp remark toward Jeong Hong-won, Moon Jae-in's comment that it was 'scary,' Cho Kuk's statement 'I understand what they are afraid of,' and Park Beom-gye's encouragement saying 'Hang in there, Seok-yeol hyung.' Do you think they don't know? They do it knowing full well," he said.

He continued, "If communication fails, it can be seen as a problem of materialism," adding, "The 40% concrete support base cannot be explained solely by agitation, brainwashing, or the mixed reality culture of the digital age." He further pointed out, "At least the core layer within that 40% has a strong material interest in maintaining the regime," and "Logic is useless in the face of profit."

Also, in another post that day, former professor Jin claimed, "When they tried to catch Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon, they set up the 'media-prosecution collusion' frame, and to catch Yoon Seok-yeol, they set up the 'judge surveillance' frame," adding, "There is a reason they lie that will be immediately exposed if they release the documents: the 40% support base."

Former professor Jin said, "It is about providing alternative facts to the loyal support base that believes whatever nonsense is said," adding, "This is no different from why Trump continued to claim 'election fraud' even after losing the presidential election."

He went on to criticize, "The decision to oust Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol is not something a thunderclap like Chu Mi-ae could make," saying, "They just need to fabricate charges falsely, have the party, government, and Blue House create the frame, have the pro-government media and fervent supporters sway public opinion, and the president only needs to prepare the nominal formalities required to dismiss him."
