Gokseong-gun Saemaeul Association Successfully Completes '2020 Love Kimchi Sharing' Event

A Warm World Shared with Love-Filled Gochujang and Kimjang Kimchi

[Gokseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Gokseong-gun Saemaeul Association (President Kim Daewoong) announced that from the 24th to the 26th, the Gokseong-gun Saemaeul Women's Association (President Park Bongsuk) hosted the ‘2020 Gokseong-gun Saemaeul Association Love Kimchi Sharing’ event at the Ip-myeon Volunteer Fire Brigade Square.

About 100 participants attended the Love Kimchi Sharing event, including Gokseong-gun Governor Yoo Geunki, Saemaeul Women's Association members from each eup and myeon, and Saemaeul leaders.

This event has been consistently carried out by the Gokseong-gun Saemaeul Women's Association every year to support vulnerable neighbors in having a warm winter.

The Women's Association prepared love gochujang and kimchi and directly delivered them to 350 selected underprivileged households through prior consultation with each eup and myeon office.

Park Bongsuk, President of the Gokseong-gun Saemaeul Women's Association, said, “We feel proud that the small sincerity we put into sharing love gochujang and kimchi becomes a great help to vulnerable groups and neighbors in need,” adding, “The Gokseong-gun Saemaeul Women's Association will continue to take the lead in various volunteer activities for neighbors in need.”

Governor Yoo Geunki encouraged the participants, saying, “Especially this year, everyone had a hard time due to COVID-19, but I thank the Gokseong-gun Saemaeul Association and volunteers who make kimchi every year for neighbors in need. I hope the kimchi made today will be well delivered to those in need so that they can spend this winter warmly.”

Meanwhile, the Gokseong-gun Saemaeul Association leads the way in creating a community of coexistence by delivering love-filled gochujang and kimchi to underprivileged households in the area every winter, sharing warm affection among local residents.
