[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] The College of Social Sciences at Chonnam National University is supporting students in line with the expansion of regional talent recruitment by public institutions.
According to Chonnam National University on the 26th, the College of Social Sciences, in collaboration with the University Job Center of the Convergence Talent Education Institute, provided various public institution employment support programs through the ‘2020 Academic Year Public Institution Employment Preparation Week’ held from the 16th to the 20th.
During this period, the College of Social Sciences held ▲special employment lectures by HR managers of public institutions relocated to Gwangju-Jeonnam Innovation City ▲mentoring by alumni employed at local community public institutions ▲career lectures by sector within public institutions at the Yoon Sang-won Memorial Hall and the library annex.

Since 2017, the College of Social Sciences has provided customized programs centered on public institutions preferred by students through the Employment Preparation Week event every year, adapting to changes in the ‘Job Competency Standards (NCS)-based Blind Recruitment System.’
This year, the programs gained great popularity by offering practical assistance for preparing for integrated recruitment of public institutions under Gwangju Metropolitan City and various public institutions conducting regional talent selection.
Additionally, they provide necessary content for public institution employment by opening a ‘Regional Talent Public Institution Employment Support Page’ on the non-face-to-face learning platform ‘e-Class.’
Lee Myung-kyu, Dean of the College of Social Sciences at Chonnam National University, said, “Although public institution recruitment and employment support have been constrained due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we will proactively respond to recruitment trends such as the expansion of regional talent selection and the increase of NCS-based blind recruitment.”
