Live YouTube Broadcast at 2 PM on the 29th
[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] Pianist George Winston will hold an online charity concert for Asian fans on YouTube at 2 PM (Korean time) on the 29th.
Winston is scheduled to play the piano for about 80 minutes and conduct a 30-minute Q&A session. Anyone can watch it on George Winston's official YouTube channel or the live performance page (https://youtu.be/CVmNwNQMqLQ).
This concert is part of a charity event for the international refugee relief organization Refugees International. During the broadcast, a donation link for Refugees International will be posted in the chat window. George Winston stated that he is holding this event for free to encourage more attention and participation for refugees.
George Winston calls himself a "naturalist pianist" and has provided the public with peace and relaxation. He has continued his active career while battling illnesses such as thyroid cancer, skin cancer, and myelodysplastic syndrome.
The public refers to Winston as a "healing musician." Winston has donated album proceeds to victims of the 9/11 attacks, Hurricane Katrina victims, cancer research organizations, and has held charity concerts for socially vulnerable groups and patients. During his visit to Korea in 1998, he donated his entire appearance fee to a "fund for the unemployed" to help Korea, which was struggling due to the IMF crisis.
