[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] LG Sangsa held a board meeting on the 26th and carried out the 2021 regular executive personnel appointments, promoting one executive director and newly appointing two managing directors.
In this personnel appointment, Managing Director Byeongil Min (54), who has led the strengthening of financial soundness and the advancement of the management control system, was promoted to Executive Director. Executive Director Min majored in linguistics at Seoul National University and joined LG Electronics in 2000, remaining within the LG Group. Since last year, he has served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) responsible for LG Sangsa's finances.
Additionally, LG Sangsa newly appointed Lee Sangmu (44), who led the development of new energy-related businesses, and Jo Eunhyung (51), who contributed to improving the financial structure, as managing directors.
An LG Sangsa official explained the background of this personnel appointment, stating, "Considering the importance of selecting young leaders with entrepreneurial potential and maintaining a stable financial structure, we promoted and newly appointed financial executives with experience and expertise."
