Introduction to the Achievements of 11 Startups Including Romin and Apatner
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] KB Kookmin Card announced on the 26th that it held an ontact demo day introducing the joint business models and program achievements of the startups participating in the 4th Future Nine program, which discovers and nurtures startups leading future lifestyle innovation and the with-COVID-19 era.
The event held the previous day was conducted via an online live broadcast method on the official Future Nine website and YouTube, enabling interactive communication and participation in accordance with COVID-19 quarantine guidelines and the elevated social distancing level.
Eleven startups selected for the 4th program, including 'Romin' and 'Apartner,' participated in the event, presenting collaboration cases on three main topics: ▲technology internalization and joint commercialization collaboration achievements ▲marketing and data collaboration achievements ▲mid- to long-term collaboration directions with innovative startups, followed by real-time discussions.
Regarding technology internalization and joint commercialization collaboration achievements, Romin introduced a case of building the 'Card Screening Talk' automatic document recognition system using AI-based unstructured text recognition solution technology, and Apartner announced plans to jointly commercialize KB Kookmin Card's 'Safe Payment Service for Secondhand Transactions.'
During the marketing and data collaboration achievements session, 'WashSwat' introduced targeted marketing cases and results for customers using clothing purchase and laundry services. In the session introducing mid- to long-term collaboration directions with innovative startups, 'Caredoc,' selected as an innovative startup participating in the program, announced plans to build an automatic card payment system for nursing hospital and caregiving fees.
Additionally, KB Kookmin Card introduced the Future Nine program investment fund jointly formed with Shinsegae Group's Signite Partners and Wadiz, and held a session presenting the current investment status and future plans.
A KB Kookmin Card official said, "Analyzing the achievements of startups participating in Future Nine from the 1st to 3rd cohorts, sales of companies participating in the 1st cohort increased more than sixfold, and companies in the 2nd and 3rd cohorts also recorded sales growth of more than double," adding, "We plan to continue conducting the program diversely and substantively in line with trends and social changes so that this program can firmly establish itself as a representative exemplary case for mutual growth."
