[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] LG Innotek announced on the 26th that it held a board meeting and finalized the 2021 regular executive appointments, promoting a total of 7 executives including 2 Executive Vice Presidents and 5 Senior Vice Presidents.
LG Innotek explained, "This executive appointment was based on a thorough meritocracy principle, comprehensively considering outstanding business performance as well as the capabilities and growth potential to lead future businesses."
In particular, LG Innotek promoted key talents who achieved results in business sites such as business, research and development (R&D), production, and quality to executives to lead innovation and change, aiming to prepare for the future and strengthen business competitiveness.
LG Innotek promoted Gu Hanmo, Senior Vice President in charge of the Substrate Materials Business Division DS (Display Solution) Business, to Executive Vice President for significantly contributing to solidifying the global No.1 position in the tape substrate and photomask business and laying the foundation for business growth.
Along with this, Kim Changtae, CFO Senior Vice President, who proactively responded to changes in the business environment, led financial structure stabilization, and closely supported each business division to contribute to performance creation, was promoted to Executive Vice President.
Additionally, Ko Daeho, Manager, who established a high-efficiency 3D sensing module production system to strengthen business competitiveness, and Cho Seonghwan, Manager, who enhanced the quality competitiveness of optical solutions and drove business growth, were newly appointed as Senior Vice Presidents.
Furthermore, Lim Junyoung, Research Fellow, who led business performance expansion through securing core technology of tape substrates and timely development of leading products; Yoo Insu, Manager, who strengthened customer and product portfolios in vehicle communication and power business to establish a foundation for business growth; and Kim Mingyu, Research Fellow, who led securing differentiated foundational technology to enhance business competitiveness, were newly appointed as Senior Vice Presidents.
Lee Changyeop, Executive Vice President in charge of Ethical Management at LG Uplus, was assigned to the position of Management Diagnosis Officer.
