Prospecs Unveils Fashion Basketball Shoes in Collaboration with Choi Gyeoul

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] LS Networks' domestic sports brand PROSPECS has launched a limited edition basketball shoe series in collaboration with the famous fashion creator ‘Choi Gyeoul’.

Choi Gyeoul is a popular influencer known as the fashion bible for South Korean men, running the YouTube channel ‘Style Guide’ with 500,000 subscribers.

This collaboration was planned, designed, and completed over a year by Choi Gyeoul, who has always been interested in basketball shoes, aiming to create wearable basketball shoes with street-style fashion and reasonable prices.

The basketball shoes, infused with Choi Gyeoul’s unique sensibility, are released in two styles. They feature basic basketball shoe functionality while being casual enough to style with everyday fashion such as denim, wide pants, and training wear.

The high-top style ‘Double Team’ minimizes foot movement with an integrated inner sock design and reinforces the heel pillar and heel area for stable landings. An additional band is provided to prevent shoelace loosening and improve fit, while also serving as a design accent.

Available in two colors highlighting retro-inspired combinations: blue and simple black, priced at 99,000 KRW.

The low-cut style ‘Scorer’ features an internal knit structure for comfortable wear and is equipped with dual air soles for cushioning. It uses a non-marking outsole suitable for indoor courts with excellent grip.

Designed with a low-cut and outsole optimized for quick direction changes, fitting Choi Gyeoul’s position as a point guard. An ornamental band engraved with the ‘W’ mark symbolizing winter is included. Available in blue and black, priced at 139,000 KRW.

Both styles have Choi Gyeoul’s signature face logo engraved on the tongue, and a special shoe box is provided to commemorate this collaboration. Currently, a limited release event is underway at the online select shop Musinsa, and the shoes can also be purchased at the company’s LSN Mall, some direct stores, and department stores.
