Seven Eleven Introduces Cakes and Wine Targeting Year-End Home Party Enthusiasts


[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Seven Eleven announced on the 26th that it will offer a variety of products such as cakes, meal kits, and wine for home party enthusiasts to enjoy the year-end season.


Seven Eleven has curated a Christmas cake lineup centered on premium brands to help customers prepare more meaningful and elegant Christmas parties. First, they introduced two premium cakes from ‘Turtle Hip,’ a representative custom cake shop in Hongdae: the ‘Re-lettering Cake’ and the ‘Ornament Cake.’ The ‘Re-lettering Cake’ allows customers to include a commemorative message of up to 8 Korean characters or 16 English letters.


Alongside this, they launched ‘Minions Banana Cake’ and ‘Minions Purple Sweet Potato Cake’ in collaboration with the handmade cake brand ‘Lucicato,’ featuring the popular Minions characters. Additionally, they released four premium whole cakes in collaboration with Maeil Dairies (Milk Cream Cake, Sachertorte, Carrot Cake, Mascarpone Tiramisu), preparing a total of 11 types of Christmas cakes.


During December, Seven Eleven is running an event where customers who pay for Christmas cakes using L.Pay will receive 2,000 L.Points cashback. Separately, customers who purchase any of the four Maeil Dairies whole cakes and accumulate points via the Seven Eleven mobile app will receive a mobile gift certificate worth 5,000 KRW.


Year-end party foods also stand out. With the recent trend of small but certain happiness and the spread of home party culture, Seven Eleven has prepared party foods that are generous yet easy to enjoy.


First, they released four party sets composed of popular year-end party late-night menus. These sets are packed in portions large enough for everyone to enjoy and include ‘Home Party Cheese Platter,’ ‘Home Party Set,’ ‘Mozzarella Cheese Salad,’ and ‘Half & Half Fried Chicken.’ They also introduced home party-tailored meal kit products. These are from the industry leader ‘Fresh Easy’ and include three types: Holiday Dinner Party Set featuring steak and pasta, Mexican-style ‘Monster Cheese Fries,’ and Double Cheddar Hamburg Steak.


They also prepared a discount event for 10 essential wines for year-end home parties. Throughout December, Seven Eleven selected 10 popular wines such as ‘Yellow Tail’ and ‘1865’ and offers them at a 10-50% discount when paid with NH Nonghyup Card. Additionally, they are running a promotion where customers can purchase two bottles of eight types including ‘Monteprio’ and ‘Soliera’ for 10,000 KRW, and the Yellow Tail miniature (187 ml) is sold at 9,900 KRW with a 26.7% discount when buying three bottles.


Moreover, customers can find year-end gifts for family and children such as the ‘Frozen Wings Dress,’ ‘Keurig Coffee Machine & Capsule Set,’ and ‘Christmas Tree Set.’
