[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] On the 24th, Daegu City announced on the 25th that it held a parts teardown event for the American electric autonomous vehicle company Tesla's electric autonomous car (Model 3) at the Korea Automotive Research Institute Daegu-Gyeongbuk Headquarters as part of the 'Enterprise Support Platform Advancement Project.'
The event, designed to allow benchmarking of key components of advanced company vehicles to support the R&D capabilities of electric autonomous vehicle companies, attracted great interest with about 100 representatives from 31 local companies including Pyeonghwa Industry and Gyeongchang Industry attending.
The Korea Automotive Research Institute Daegu-Gyeongbuk Headquarters has been conducting the establishment of an enterprise support platform, equipment expansion, enterprise support, and training of equipment operation experts to foster the local electric autonomous vehicle industry ecosystem and enhance the support environment for core component development as part of the Smart Specialization Foundation Project from April last year to December 2022.
Baek Dong-hyun, Director of Innovation Growth at Daegu City, said, "The overseas advanced electric autonomous vehicle teardown event will help strengthen the technological capabilities of local automotive parts companies," adding, "We will continue to strive to secure growth engines for the local electric autonomous vehicle industry through technology exchange meetings and technical support events."
