The social relay Hand in Hand campaign aims to raise awareness of the social economy and promote the purchase of social economy enterprise products. The designated institution purchases products from social economy enterprises and nominates the next participant, spreading messages of support for overcoming COVID-19 through SNS.
Mayor Kim was the next participant following Cho Young-poong, former director of the Gwangju Lifelong Education Promotion Institute.
Mayor Kim nominated Kim Young-jip, external vice president of Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Ha Sang-yong, representative of the Gwangju Startup Support Network, and labor attorney Jin Jae-young as the next participants.
He said, "I am glad to participate in a campaign that can help social economy enterprises, and I hope that through this campaign, positive awareness of the social economy will improve and contribute even a little to the revitalization of the social economy."
