As of now, the total confirmed cases in Jeonnam are 381, with 331 local infections and 50 imported cases. Since the 7th, a total of 186 cases have been confirmed.
On the previous day in Suncheon, 1 person was confirmed positive during a pre-release test related to a Gwangyang company, and 2 people, including family and colleagues related to an apartment construction site, were confirmed positive.
In Mokpo, 1 acquaintance related to the Suncheon construction site was additionally confirmed, and in Naju, 4 family members including confirmed case Jeonnam367 were confirmed positive.
On the 25th, 2 additional family members related to the apartment construction site were confirmed in Suncheon, and in Naju, 1 person related to a medical institution visit, 4 acquaintances who had contact with Jeonnam367, and 1 restaurant worker were additionally confirmed.
The Jeonnam Province Epidemiological Investigation Joint Cooperation Team and the rapid response teams of Suncheon, Mokpo, and Naju are conducting a detailed epidemiological investigation through CCTV analysis to trace confirmed patients' movement paths and separate contacts.
Visited locations by confirmed cases have been temporarily closed and disinfected.
Additionally, Jeonnam Province reopened the Naju Residential Treatment Center from this day to alleviate bed shortages and treat mild patients.
Kang Younggu, Director of Health and Welfare Bureau of Jeonnam Province, said, “People are mistaking it for winter cold and missing the golden treatment time of 3 to 4 days, spreading it to those around them. Regardless of markets or places, there is a risk of infection, so year-end gatherings such as year-end parties with family and acquaintances should be minimized, and masks must be worn in daily life.”
