[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] KoAsia announced on the 25th that its subsidiary KoAsia Semi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Transport and Communications (UTC) in Vietnam to cultivate specialized talent in system semiconductors.
Through this MOU, KoAsia Semi plans to directly train and hire outstanding local talent. The educational program will start in January next year and will be conducted in 5-week sessions. In fact, KoAsia Semi is currently hiring numerous semiconductor talents locally based on an MOU with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST).
The training will take place at the KoAsia Semi LAB and will be based on materials prepared by world-class experts and semiconductor design software supported by Synopsys. Synopsys is the world’s number one company in the semiconductor electronic design automation (EDA) field.
A company representative stated, “This MOU is the second agreement signed with a Vietnamese university following the one with Hanoi University of Science and Technology in July. As Vietnam is emerging as a new semiconductor hub, we plan to strengthen local capabilities through additional MOUs in the future.”
