[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Kim Jong-in, Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, stated on the 24th regarding the three economic laws including the Commercial Act, the Fair Trade Act, and the Financial Group Supervision Act, "If companies operate normally, there would be no problem with the three economic laws currently proposed by the government."

At a luncheon meeting hosted by the Seoul Foreign Correspondents' Club held at the Korea Press Center on the same day, Chairman Kim said, "If we assume an abnormal situation, the three economic laws could cause significant infringement," adding, "If companies operate fairly and normally, there is no reason to oppose them blindly."

Chairman Kim pointed out, "We need to be able to distinguish whether the three economic laws relate to companies themselves or to the owners of the companies, but explanations are often confused."

He emphasized, "In the current Korean economy, it is important to properly handle labor-management relations issues occurring at each workplace."
