Professor Sanggeun Lee of Sogang University Receives Outstanding Paper Award from UK Emerald Publishing

Comparative Analysis of the Industrial Chain Effects of the ICT and Machinery Industries by Country

[Asia Economy Reporter Sim Nayoung] Professor Sanggeun Lee of the Department of Business Administration at Sogang University announced on the 24th that his paper published in 'Industrial Management & Data Systems,' issued by the UK-based Emerald Publishing, received the 2020 Outstanding Paper Award.

Emerald Publishing has been publishing the world's largest collection of specialized academic journals for over 50 years and annually awards the Emerald Literati Award to researchers who have presented outstanding papers worldwide.

In this paper, Professor Lee analyzed the industrial ripple effects between the information and communication technology (ICT) industry and the machinery industry by comparing South Korea, the United States, China, Germany, and Japan. In particular, he was recognized for predicting the importance of digital transformation by analyzing the impact of the ICT industry on other industries, leading to the selection of his work as an outstanding paper.

Professor Lee has been listed in the Marquis Who's Who, a global biographical directory, in 2012, 2018, and 2019.
