AndyForce announced on the 23rd through a public disclosure that it has signed a supply contract for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) antigen rapid test kit ‘ND COVID-19 Ag Test’ with Russia’s pharmaceutical and medical specialist company ‘IAI, LLC.’

The antigen rapid test kits being exported this time allow for quick diagnosis within 15 minutes by collecting nasopharyngeal swab specimens from patients suspected of early COVID-19 infection, offering high convenience and minimizing errors.

An AndyForce official stated, “Recently, COVID-19 confirmed cases have surged in Russia, rapidly increasing the demand for rapid test kits that can confirm infection status in a short time. AndyForce has been conducting clinical trials on antigen rapid test kits locally in Russia since last October.”

He added, “Starting with the initial supply of 500,000 units to the local pharmaceutical and medical specialist company, exports to Russia are expected to steadily increase. In addition to Russia, we are undergoing approval procedures in the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Indonesia, the Middle East, and North Africa, which will expand the global export volume of antigen rapid test kits.”

According to the international statistics site ‘Worldometer,’ as of the 22nd (local time), Russia ranks fifth worldwide in the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases following the United States, India, Brazil, and France, approaching 2.09 million cases, with daily new confirmed cases reaching about 24,000. The Russian government is actively introducing antigen rapid test kits that can quickly identify patients in the early stages of infection amid the surge in new cases.
