[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-eun] Yoon Geon-young, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized former Liberty Korea Party (now People Power Party) lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, who said "President Moon Jae-in is nowhere to be seen," by saying, "Don't you know who the president that really hid away was?"

Earlier, former lawmaker Yoo criticized on Facebook, saying, "Even though the whole country is in chaos, the highest person responsible for state affairs does not show even a single hair and has hidden away completely."

In this regard, Yoon, who was the head of the Presidential Secretariat's National Planning and Situation Office, wrote on his Facebook on the 23rd, "Former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, if you want to talk about regime change, compete with your own alternatives, not by criticizing the president," adding, "No matter how much former lawmaker Yoo risks his political life to gain the people's choice, he must walk the right path."

Also, Yoon said, "The president visits economic sites once or twice a week. How can a president who is hiding visit numerous places nationwide and give countless speeches?" He then questioned former lawmaker Yoo, who was part of the previous Park Geun-hye administration, saying, "Former lawmaker Yoo, do you really not know who the president that hid away was?"

Yoon continued, "Of course, I am well aware that the current government's real estate policy falls short of the people's expectations." He added, "Anyone can say 'real estate is a problem,' but responsible politicians should present policy alternatives. Real estate issues will not be resolved just by focusing solely on criticizing the president, especially when such criticism is baseless and indiscriminate."

He concluded, "Saying the president is hiding or not admitting mistakes, just 'criticizing,' will not solve the lives of people without homes, so please stop politics that only exploit the pain of ordinary people."
