[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that the "15th Foreign-invested Companies Job Fair" will be held online for five days starting from the 23rd.
This fair is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and jointly organized by KOTRA, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, and the Financial Supervisory Service.
Due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), this job fair is being held online for the first time. It is a representative job event that provides foreign-invested companies with opportunities for corporate promotion and recruitment of talented personnel, and job seekers with opportunities to work at global companies. A total of 105 companies are participating, including 15 Fortune Global 500 companies and 25 Forbes Global 2000 companies.
Various events such as corporate promotion booths (105 companies), recruitment briefings (19 companies), one-on-one interviews (19 companies), employment lectures (9 sessions), employment consulting (50 sessions), and events (7 types) will also be held.
In particular, through employment consulting, more specialized recruitment-related information will be provided to job seekers, such as how to write English resumes and self-introduction letters and mock interview know-how. One-on-one in-depth interviews will be conducted for job seekers selected through pre-resume screening, which is expected to expand practical employment opportunities.
An official from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said, "Since this foreign-invested companies job fair is held at a time when the domestic job market is more difficult than ever due to COVID-19, we hope for active participation from job seekers," and added, "Considering the worsening youth unemployment situation, we will continue efforts to provide quality job opportunities."
