67 Overseas Buyers from 11 Countries Participate, Achieving $35.38 Million in Consultation Amount

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on the 22nd that it successfully held the ‘Industrial Complex Export Target Companies Online Export Consultation Meeting.’

This online export consultation meeting was held on the 19th for industrial complex export beginner companies facing marketing difficulties due to overseas business trips being blocked by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). It was held as the second round following the first round held on September 23.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, tenant companies conducted consultations either through three-way video calls connecting their offices in real-time with overseas buyers and interpreters, or by visiting consultation venues that had completed quarantine measures in person.

A total of 54 tenant companies participated in this consultation meeting, conducting 91 video consultations with 67 buyers. The consultation resulted in export consultation amounts of 35.38 million USD and contract promotion amounts of approximately 11.9 million USD.

The consultation meeting included tenant companies from various industries such as machinery, automobile parts, medical devices, and food. Among them, company G, a dried food sales company, and company T, which deals with silicone masks, achieved successful sample product transactions with buyers from Thailand and Vietnam, respectively.

An official from Korea Industrial Complex Corporation stated, “In response to COVID-19, we plan to continuously support tenant companies in industrial complexes to develop overseas sales channels by establishing video consultation centers in 11 regional headquarters nationwide.”
