[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 19th that it held the 'e-Mobility Specialized Knowledge Industry Center Construction Project Basic and Detailed Design Service Mid-term Report Meeting' at the county office on the 17th.
The report meeting was organized to check whether the opinions presented at the kickoff meeting were reflected in the basic design and to supplement any shortcomings to derive the optimal plan.
The Knowledge Industry Center will be constructed on a total budget of 24 billion KRW, including 16 billion KRW of national funds, in the Daema Electric Vehicle Industrial Complex area. It will be a four-story building with a total floor area of 12,133㎡, consisting of 42 corporate office spaces, an exhibition hall, an operations office, a creative studio, and a restaurant.
Governor Kim Junsung said, "I request that you make every effort to actively reflect the opinions presented by the attendees at this mid-term report meeting so that the Knowledge Industry Center can be built as a catalyst to enhance the innovation and growth capabilities of e-mobility related companies."
Meanwhile, the county plans to strengthen policies to support companies by promoting a job-linked support housing project to improve living conditions for workers in e-mobility related companies, fostering e-mobility talent, expanding e-mobility adoption, and hosting the e-mobility international expo to create synergy effects in the e-mobility industry.
