The 'On:Hallyu Festival' is a comprehensive public-private collaborative Hallyu event hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, together with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, and Naver.
This event is designed to realize the diversification of Hallyu content, the joint overseas expansion of related industries through Hallyu, and the establishment of a foundation for sustainable Hallyu dissemination. During the festival period, which runs until the 23rd, various events will take place, including online popular music performances combined with immersive technology, video export consultations in the content and related industry sectors, and real-time sales.
Home&Shopping will participate as the main organizer for the home shopping sector in this event. Through special broadcast planning, it plans to promote small and medium-sized enterprises' products and brands while providing consumers with shopping benefits that allow them to purchase at affordable prices. A Home&Shopping official said, "We actively decided to participate in this event to comfort domestic and international Hallyu fans exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to support the brand promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises," adding, "Home&Shopping will also actively support promoting excellent domestic products and content."
