Seoul Shilla Hotel Opens 'Small Library Inside the Hotel'

Collaboration with 'Flybook'
Up to 5 Books Can Be Borrowed Per Room

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Seoul Shilla Hotel announced on the 18th that it will open a 'small library inside the hotel' in the lounge space to welcome the season ideal for reading.

Seoul Shilla Hotel is collaborating with the book subscription service provider 'Flybook' to transform the 19th-floor lounge into a cozy study with about 300 books available. A rental service of up to 5 books per room is provided so guests can read their desired books even in their rooms.

The package includes Flybook membership passes: 1 month of Premium and 5 months of Standard. As a Premium membership benefit, during the stay, information about the rented books and one book selected based on the guest's mood, interests, and preferences set directly in the Flybook app will be sent to their home.

Common benefits with the Standard membership include unlimited reading and renting of books at Flybook shelves located in Yeouido, Yangjae, Busan, and Gimhae. Guests also get priority access to irregularly held meetings with authors.

Seoul Shilla Hotel has also paid attention to disinfection so that customers can enjoy reading comfortably in the study. Books returned after one rental are disinfected using a book sterilizer, and the lounge undergoes full disinfection daily. To maintain 'social distancing' within the lounge, reservations are limited to a maximum of 5 groups per day. If social distancing is raised to level 2 or higher, books will be available for rental only, and beverages will be offered as take-out service only.

The Fly Me to the Book package is available from the 17th until March 31 of next year, excluding Fridays. Based on a one-night stay in a Deluxe Room, it includes admission for two to the 19th-floor Flybook lounge, Flybook special benefits (membership and one gift box), gym access, and indoor swimming pool benefits for two. Especially, guests staying in November and December will receive one Shilla eco bag mini and one Shilla bear keyring additionally.
