On the 25th, Kindergarten and Elementary Divisions, on the 27th, Middle and High School Divisions... School Introduction and Q&A Session Program 진행
St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju (SJA Jeju), an American international school in Jeju Island, will hold an "Online Admission Information Session" for the 2021-2022 academic year.
The online admission sessions, held twice on the 25th and 27th, will provide prospective parents and students considering SJA Jeju and other international schools in Jeju an opportunity to understand SJA Jeju's curriculum and educational philosophy.
On the 25th (Wednesday), the admission session will be for kindergarten and elementary students (PK3 to 5th grade), and on the 27th (Friday), the session will be for middle and high school students (6th to 11th grade).
Both sessions will start at 10 a.m., with participation from Dr. Jeannie Sung, the Head of School, Susan Phillips, the Director of Admissions, and principals from each school.
The admission sessions will include a school introduction presentation and a Q&A session. The school introduction presentation will provide various information on the curriculum, boarding programs, and school life through online presentations for each grade level. During the Q&A session, participants can ask questions about SJA Jeju and international school admissions and receive real-time answers.
Pre-registered participants will receive the admission session link via email, and advance registration is available through the official SJA Jeju website.
A representative from St. Johnsbury Academy Jeju stated, "This online admission session is designed to introduce SJA Jeju's educational philosophy and curriculum to prospective parents concerned about their children's school choices. We also prepared time to resolve various questions about school life through real-time chat, so we encourage many to participate."
Meanwhile, SJA Jeju is based on the educational philosophy of St. Johnsbury Academy (SJA), a prestigious private high school in the northeastern United States with a 178-year tradition, promoting voluntary learning. The campus spans approximately 30,000 pyeong (about 99,000 square meters) and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as a gymnasium, swimming pool, and art center. Currently, about 900 students are enrolled.
For the high school program, SJA Jeju operates the Advanced Placement (AP) program, administered by the College Board, which allows students to take college-level courses in advance and earn credits. This enables students to prepare for admission to universities in the United States and worldwide.
In the 2019-2020 academic year, when the first graduates were produced, SJA Jeju demonstrated the success of its American-style education by receiving 124 acceptance letters from 76 prestigious universities across eight countries, including Johns Hopkins University, Carnegie Mellon University, UCLA, UC Berkeley, Minerva Schools, and the National University of Singapore in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Singapore.
