It covers not only death, sequelae, hospitalization, and surgery due to injury or illness, but also diagnosis of cancer, stroke, and acute myocardial infarction. Additionally, it guarantees death, sequelae, severe burn and corrosion diagnosis fees, and fracture diagnosis fees (including tooth fractures) that may occur during firefighting duties.
Any South Korean firefighter aged 20 to 65 can subscribe, and the insurance term is 3 or 5 years.
A Lotte Insurance official said, "This product was launched for firefighters, the everyday heroes who protect the precious lives of citizens in crisis," adding, "We believe the true value we can offer customers is to allow them to do anything with peace of mind."
