Rebirth of Space at Ojingeogami Factory... Opening as Gangneung Jumunjin Dokkaebi Market Jumunjin Dokkaebi Market

On the 3rd, the Goblin Market, spanning 1,700 pyeong, opened at the Jumunjin breakwater coast, the filming location of the drama Goblin. The old building that was once a squid gami factory has been transformed into a complex cultural space where visitors can enjoy various foods using Gangwon Province specialties.

Within the Goblin Market, there are various food spaces such as Boksakkot Salong, where you can enjoy peach blossom milk tea and coffee beverages; Kong Bangatgan, offering various desserts made with beans, a specialty of Gangwon Province; Gangnaengi Sokuri, serving desserts made from puffed Gangwon glutinous corn called chalgangnaengi; and Uncle Joo, where you can enjoy wine and beer. In addition, there are diverse attractions such as Nes Home, where you can see fabric and living products; Asta Jewelry, featuring stylish jewelry products; and Food & Table, a cooking studio space. Especially notable are Damsodang, about 500 pyeong in size with a panoramic view of the Jumunjin sea beach, and the Goblin Rooftop on the upper floor of the Boksakkot Salong building, which are landmarks of the Goblin Market.

Park So-young, CEO of Jumunjin Goblin Market, said, “We prepared for two years from the planning stage, and spent over nine months on construction to transform it into a landmark of Jumunjin. We carefully selected every single prop with great care, and devoted special attention to unique menus in each space, such as peach blossom milk tea, bean milk donuts, and chalgangnaengi ice cream. We hope many people can experience the diverse emotions alive in the Goblin Market space. It has been just over 10 days since opening, but word of mouth has already spread through SNS, and we are very grateful for the encouragement and praise from many visitors.”
