[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] LS ELECTRIC shared warm affection again this year by delivering winter protection supplies to vulnerable groups in the region.
On the 16th, LS ELECTRIC announced that it held the event "Sharing Warm Winter Clothing with LS ELECTRIC" through the Anyang Senior Welfare Center located in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, donating winter clothing and winter shoes worth 50 million KRW to about 200 low-income elderly living alone in the area.
Now in its 7th year, the LS ELECTRIC winter clothing delivery event was prepared to help neighbors in need prepare for the cold winter, based on the company's belief that "the foundation of social contribution is giving back to the local community."
An LS ELECTRIC official said, "With colder weather expected earlier than usual, we hope the winter supplies we hastily prepared will be of some help," adding, "We plan to fulfill our corporate social responsibility by offering various programs that bring hearts closer to neighbors in need, even if physically apart during the COVID-19 era."
Since 2014, LS ELECTRIC has been implementing customized support programs for each season and social class, including delivering winter clothing to low-income marginalized groups in each business area, gifting holiday lunchboxes during Chuseok, and donating cooling supplies in summer and heating supplies in winter.
