Busan Gijang-gun, 'Emergency Livelihood Support Fund for Vulnerable Households' Application Open Until November 20

Low-Income Crisis Households Targeted: Income Decrease, Below 75% of Median Income, and Assets Under 600 Million KRW

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan Gijang-gun announced on the 14th that the application deadline for the government's ‘Emergency Livelihood Support Fund for Crisis Households’ to support low-income crisis households struggling due to COVID-19 has been extended until the 20th.

The Emergency Livelihood Support for Crisis Households is a support fund provided to low-income groups who have experienced income reduction due to COVID-19-related job loss, temporary closure, or business suspension but have not received other support programs.

The Emergency Livelihood Support Fund has expanded the eligibility criteria and simplified the application process so that applicants only need to confirm income reduction to apply.

Eligibility includes households with ▲income reduction ▲below 75% of the median income standard ▲assets under 600 million KRW. For detailed application information, contact the dedicated call center (051-709-8621~4) or the local eup/myeon administrative welfare center of the applicant's address.

The payment amounts are ▲400,000 KRW for single-person households ▲600,000 KRW for two-person households ▲800,000 KRW for three-person households ▲1,000,000 KRW for households of four or more.

After verifying eligibility and receipt of other support benefits, the amount will be paid once in cash to the applicant's account in December.

Applications must be submitted in person at the local eup/myeon administrative welfare center by November 20th. Applications can be made by the head of the household, household members, or authorized representatives.

A Gijang-gun official stated, “We hope that crisis households who have experienced income reduction or job loss due to COVID-19 visit their local eup/myeon administrative welfare center for consultation and apply without omission during this extension period to receive support.”
