“This Bus Is Too Slow, Strange” Drunk Bus Driver Caught Red-Handed in Busan A bus driver in his 40s was caught driving under the influence and arrested on the spot by the police in Busan.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A city bus driver operating under the influence of alcohol in Busan was caught following a passenger's report.


Busan Sasang Police Station announced on the 13th at around 7:10 a.m. that they apprehended a male bus driver in his 40s, Mr. A, who was driving under the influence on the road in front of Samdaehan Clinic in Gwaebeop-dong, Sasang-gu.


The police received a 112 report from a passenger on the operating city bus, stating that the driver smelled of alcohol and was driving unusually slowly, and they dispatched officers accordingly.


At the time, there were 12 passengers on board.


The police stopped the operating city bus and conducted a breathalyzer test, which showed a level warranting license cancellation. Mr. A was arrested on the spot for violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving) and is currently under investigation for the circumstances of the drunk driving.
