Hanyang Launches 'Sujain Smart Home 1.0' System

[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Hanyang announced on the 10th that it will launch and actively introduce ‘Sujain Smart Home 1.0,’ an advanced smart home service under its housing brand Sujain.

Recently, the housing market has been experiencing changes due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). As the time spent at home increases, consumers’ demand for a comfortable indoor environment has grown, and contactless technologies are being applied throughout homes. Unlike the past when location was the most important factor, in the post-COVID era, apartments equipped with cutting-edge systems integrating artificial intelligence and IT technologies are becoming the preferred choice for buyers. Furthermore, whether such conveniences are provided is becoming a key factor distinguishing premium residential areas from others.

In line with this trend, Hanyang plans to offer various advanced services starting with the first application complex, ‘Uijeongbu Gosan Sujain DSTIGE,’ by launching ‘Sujain Smart Home 1.0.’ The core features of Sujain Smart Home 1.0 include a fine dust blocking and reduction system that creates a clean living environment from the complex entrance to inside the units, and a contactless solution to prevent COVID-19 infections.

First, through Sujain Smart Home’s ‘Six Zone Sujain Clean Air & Contactless Solution,’ a clean complex free from fine dust, which is prevalent regardless of the season, will be created. The complex is divided into six fine dust generation zones?entrance, outdoor spaces, underground parking lot, each building entrance, elevators, and inside the units?and managed contactlessly with Sujain’s unique fine dust reduction and blocking system.

Additionally, vehicle access at the complex entrance is controlled by automatic license plate recognition, fine dust-reducing tree species are planted in outdoor spaces, and mist sculptures (artificial fog high-pressure spray) are installed within the complex to enhance comfort. In the underground parking lot, ventilation systems automatically operate when fine dust exceeds a certain level. Other notable features include air showers at building entrances to remove externally adsorbed fine dust and fine dust reduction devices inside elevators. Inside the units, clean zones are configured in hallways with clothing care devices and furniture (paid options) to easily manage clothes worn outside.

Given that COVID-19 cluster infections have occurred in residential areas, efforts have also been made to build contactless solutions. Automatic access is possible only via smartphones and cards, and an elevator motion call system allowing elevator rides through hand gestures is planned to be introduced. Therefore, residents can move safely and conveniently within the complex without touching buttons in elevators or common entrances.

A Hanyang official said, “With the new normal era after COVID-19, it is time for changes in the housing market, and the Sujain brand is also striving to present a new residential paradigm. We will do our best to provide residents with a comfortable and smart living space by continuously integrating diverse advanced technologies following Sujain Smart Home 1.0.”

Meanwhile, ‘Sujain Smart Home 1.0’ will be sequentially applied starting with ‘Uijeongbu Gosan Sujain DSTIGE,’ which has a total of 2,407 households and is scheduled for sale this month.
