Yeongdeungpo-gu Supports Women's Employment Success... Online Women's Job Fair Held

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Chae Hyun-il) will hold an ‘Online Women’s Job Fair’ at Yeongdeungpo Art Hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 19th to provide good jobs for female job seekers and solve the recruitment difficulties of small and medium-sized enterprises.

This fair, held in collaboration with the Yeongdeungpo Women’s Human Resources Development Center, is the second event following last year. It was organized to facilitate smooth recruitment for local companies struggling with labor supply, revitalize the employment market frozen by COVID-19, and alleviate the employment difficulties faced by women.

This year’s fair will be held in two sessions, morning and afternoon, to minimize contact between job seekers, operating 10 company recruitment booths and 2 auxiliary event booths in each session.

To provide job seekers with information and recruitment opportunities across various occupations, a total of 20 companies including Coupang Fulfillment Service, Megastudy Education, and the Yeongdeungpo-gu Senior Care Center participate. Auxiliary event booths will offer services such as photo shoots for resumes and fingerprint aptitude test consultations.

The district plans to conduct both video interviews and on-site interviews while strictly adhering to quarantine guidelines, considering companies and job seekers unfamiliar with online interviews, to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Until the 16th, the district will pre-match recruiting companies with female hiring plans and job seekers who meet recruitment criteria to adjust interview schedules for a safe and effective fair.

Interview opportunities will be provided to pre-registered applicants. Recruiting companies will conduct interviews online from their offices, while job seekers will visit the on-site recruitment booths set up in the exhibition hall of Yeongdeungpo Art Hall at their assigned times to participate in one-on-one interviews with HR managers.

Additionally, the fair will be operated by dispersing participants by time slots to prevent crowding.

Any woman wishing to find employment can participate by submitting a resume at the Yeongdeungpo-gu Job Plus Center or Yeongdeungpo Women’s Human Resources Development Center by the 13th.

Furthermore, the district plans to continue supporting various employment services through ongoing follow-up management such as job placement and employment retention for recruiting companies and job seekers even after the fair.

For more details, please contact the Yeongdeungpo-gu Job Plus Center or Yeongdeungpo Women’s Human Resources Development Center.

Chae Hyun-il, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, “I hope this online job fair will revitalize the employment market weakened by COVID-19 and provide a valuable opportunity for female job seekers to find jobs that match their aptitudes.” He added, “We will continue to do our best to prepare employment support measures so that talented women can demonstrate their abilities and actively participate in various fields.”
