Sam Burns (USA) leads with 7-under par 133, Jason Day (Australia) and Carlos Ortiz (Mexico) are tied for 2nd place with 5-under par 135, and five players including Brandt Snedeker (USA) are tied for 4th place with 4-under par 136.

Im Sung-jae started tied for 88th place, 9 strokes behind, and recorded 2 birdies and 1 bogey. He recovered from a bogey on the 14th hole (par 4) in the front nine with a birdie on the 16th hole (par 5), and added another birdie on the 3rd hole (par 5) in the back nine. Although his shots were greatly unstable with a fairway hit rate of 38.46% and a green in regulation rate of 61.11%, his Strokes Gained Putting was outstanding at 3.07 strokes. He is 6 strokes behind the tie for 9th place, still in a position to aim for a top ranking.

Burns took the top of the leaderboard in one fell swoop with a flawless play of 5 birdies and no bogeys. His best performance is a tie for 3rd place at the Sanderson Farms Championship in October 2018. Day and Ortiz both shot 2-under par to continue the competition for the championship. On the other hand, Snedeker, who was the leader the previous day, lost one stroke with 2 birdies and 3 bogeys. He is 3 strokes behind the leader. Adam Scott (Australia) is watching for an opportunity from a tie for 9th place (3-under par 137).
