[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] NS Home Shopping is reappointing an inside director whose term has expired and transitioning to a co-CEO system.

On the 6th, NS Home Shopping held a shareholders' meeting at its Pangyo headquarters and decided to reappoint President Dosangcheol and Vice President Johangmok as inside directors. Following the shareholders' meeting, the board of directors resolved to transition to a co-CEO system with Dosangcheol and Johangmok.

Through this transition to a co-CEO system, NS Home Shopping plans to establish a stable management system and secure competitiveness capable of sustainable growth in the future.

They judged that it is necessary to overcome uncertainties in the management environment and intensified competition, and to lay the foundation for promoting innovation tasks for the future based on stable management performance.

Newly appointed co-CEO Johangmok joined NS Home Shopping in 2002 and has held key positions such as Channel Strategy Team, Media Business Division, SB Business Division, and TV Business Division. Since 2017, he has served as NS Home Shopping's COO (Chief Operating Officer), overseeing all channel business organizations.

An NS Home Shopping official said, "Co-CEO Johangmok has grown with the company for a long time since its early days, contributing greatly not only to excellent performance but also to securing NS Home Shopping's core competencies and enhancing competitiveness."

Co-CEO Johangmok has participated as a member and chairman of the product selection committee for 18 years, directly communicating with customers and partners and reflecting this in management. Last year, he reorganized the product selection committee to be customer-centered, focusing on gaining customer trust through consumer-centered management.

He has also worked to expand NS Home Shopping's customer base through platform diversification, including strengthening communication via social network services (SNS), launching the V-commerce 'Ding Live' for customers in their 20s and 30s, and improving the mobile platform.

Since his appointment as COO in 2017, he has expanded existing win-win policies for small and medium-sized partner companies and introduced various new programs. In collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, he led the operation of practical support systems that partners can feel, such as a total of 600 million KRW worth of R&D funding support for small businesses and the free broadcasting support program for small businesses called 'Win-Win Story.'

Through this, new support systems for co-growth with small and medium-sized partners were established, including 'NS Win-Win Campus' which supports free online education for small business partners, insert video production support projects, and product improvement support projects in the HMR (Home Meal Replacement) sector.

Co-CEO Johangmok said, "While creating a stable management environment, we will also enable NS Home Shopping to broaden the scope of change and innovation," adding, "Through differentiated innovation, we will build competitiveness and a management system capable of sustainable growth in the future."
