A Hyundai Department Store Group official explained the background of this regular executive reshuffle, stating, “Based on thorough meritocracy, we focused on appointing a large number of young talents who possess both expertise and drive to lay the foundation for leading the group’s future growth.” The official added, “With young and dynamic leadership, we aim to build a passionate organizational culture that can respond swiftly to changes in the uncertain business environment and promote the group’s sustainable growth and realization of social value.”

The official further noted, “Due to increasing internal and external uncertainties such as the COVID-19 pandemic, we advanced the timing of this year’s regular executive reshuffle by about a month compared to previous years to proactively establish next year’s business strategy and simultaneously pursue organizational stability and innovation.
