[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, signed a business agreement with the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation on the 3rd to launch the card-type Goryeong Love Gift Certificate.
Starting from the 11th, Goryeong-gun will hold a special 10% discount event to commemorate the launch of the local currency issued through the NongHyup check card.
Users who wish to use it can recharge and check usage details in real time through the 'Local Gift Certificate Chack' app without visiting financial institutions. It can also be issued offline by visiting NongHyup (including the county branch, local NongHyup, and livestock cooperatives).
The Goryeong Love Gift Certificate card prioritizes using the gift certificate recharge amount when used at affiliated stores within the jurisdiction. If the amount exceeds the recharge or is used at non-affiliated stores, postpaid transportation cards, or outside the jurisdiction, payment is made from the linked check card account. Users can receive a 30% income deduction benefit and a 10% discount benefit until funds are exhausted. The monthly purchase limit per person is 500,000 KRW.
A Goryeong-gun official explained, "The Goryeong Love Card has the advantage of preventing fraudulent distribution of gift certificates, which was pointed out as a drawback of paper-type gift certificates, and also reduces the cost of issuing gift certificates."
