[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Ministry of National Defense announced that it plans to explain the review results of the information disclosure request filed by Lee Rae-jin, the older brother of civil servant A, who was shot and killed by North Korean soldiers in the West Sea last month, to the bereaved family on the 3rd.


On the 2nd, Moon Hong-sik, deputy spokesperson of the Ministry of National Defense, said at a regular briefing in response to a question about whether the military would explain the intelligence information collected regarding the incident to the bereaved family, "Regarding the information disclosure request made by the family of the missing civil servant, we plan to provide the review results to the family tomorrow afternoon."


Lee, the older brother of civil servant A, filed an information disclosure request on the 6th of last month concerning his younger brother's killing, including the military's intercepted North Korean military conversation recordings and video files. The information requested by Lee covers the military's intercepted audio recordings from 3:30 PM to 10:51 PM on September 22, the day civil servant A was shot and killed by North Korean soldiers.


Additionally, it includes video files for 40 minutes from 10:51 PM on the same day, the time when flames presumed to have mutilated the body were observed.
