[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Uplus announced on the 1st that it will jointly promote a home security service support project to protect abused children with the Child Rights Protection Agency.

LG Uplus will recruit 150 locations nationwide, including child protection specialized agencies, child protection families, and shelters for abused children through the Child Rights Protection Agency, and support the use of the 'Woori Jip Jikimi Easy' product and service fees for three years. The total support amount is approximately 70 million KRW. The Child Rights Protection Agency will undertake emotional care and protection activities for abused children.

Woori Jip Jikimi Easy consists of ▲ 'Mom Cam Easy' (1 unit) capable of real-time video monitoring, recording, and two-way voice calls ▲ 'Door Sensor' (2 units) that detects and notifies the opening and closing of front doors, room doors, or windows ▲ 'Motion Detection Sensor' (1 unit) that detects changes in movement and light and sends alerts to mobile phones in case of intrusion. It can be self-installed without a technician visit.

Main features include ▲ 'Real-time Security' that automatically records video and sends alerts to mobile phones upon intrusion detection ▲ '112 Easy Report' that allows one-touch reporting to the police station immediately upon receiving an alert. Additionally, users are automatically enrolled in compensation insurance that covers up to 5 million KRW for item theft, minimizing damage.

Park Hyung-il, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of LG Uplus External Cooperation, said, "We expect LG Uplus Smart Home service to contribute to the emotional stability of children and the protection of shelters," adding, "We will continue to consider ways to fulfill the social responsibilities of the company."
