Applications accepted at Dong Community Centers and District Offices until November 6... 1 million KRW support for general businesses, up to 2 million KRW for specially affected industries
Dongdaemun-gu operates an on-site application center for the "Small Business New Hope Fund" at 14 neighborhood community centers and the Small Business Support Division on the second basement floor of Dongdaemun-gu Office until November 6.
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) is operating on-site application centers at 14 community service centers and the Small Business Support Division on the B2 floor of Dongdaemun-gu Office until November 6 to accept on-site applications for the ‘Small Business New Hope Fund’.
The ‘Small Business New Hope Fund’ is a grant directly provided to small business owners experiencing business difficulties due to administrative measures (gathering bans, business restrictions) by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to prevent the resurgence of COVID-19.
The eligibility for the Small Business New Hope Fund includes small business owners who started their business before May 31, 2020, have registered their business as of the application date, and are currently operating.
For general industries, 1 million KRW is provided to small business owners with annual sales of 400 million KRW or less last year who experienced a decrease in sales compared to the previous year.
Specially affected industries are businesses that were subject to gathering bans and business restrictions by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on August 16, 2020. If their sales are below the small business sales standard by industry, they can receive 1.5 to 2 million KRW regardless of sales decline.
The on-site application centers operate for small business owners who could not receive the New Hope Fund before Chuseok, especially those with limited online access or who need to submit additional supporting documents.
Applicants must prepare the application form, ID card, copy of business registration certificate, copy of bankbook, various consent forms, and additional documents (if applicable) when applying in person.
For detailed inquiries, contact the Small Business Support Division of Dongdaemun-gu Office.
Mayor You Deok-yeol of Dongdaemun-gu stated, “I hope that all small business owners struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation will apply without omission and that this will help them overcome these difficult times even a little.”
