[Breaking] Company Reported for Violating Gathering Ban Holds Another Poker Tournament in Cheongju

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] Company A, which was reported for violating the administrative order banning gatherings due to the spread of COVID-19, is causing concern in Cheongju City as it plans to hold a large-scale poker tournament again.

According to Cheongju City, on the 30th, Company A will hold a poker tournament from 7 PM that day until the 1st of next month at two banquet halls in a hotel in Cheongwon-gu.

Company A informed the city that the maximum number of participants for this tournament will be 120 on the 30th, 300 on the 31st, and 200 on the 1st of next month.

Company A is reportedly holding the tournament on the grounds that social distancing measures have been eased to Level 1 due to COVID-19.
