Daelim Group Conducts 2021 Regular Executive Personnel Changes

Wonbok Bae, CEO of Daelim Industrial

[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] Bae Won-bok, CEO of Daelim Industrial, has been promoted to Vice Chairman. Daelim Group announced on the 30th that it conducted its 2021 regular executive personnel appointments. CEO Bae, born in 1961, graduated from Sungkyunkwan University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, completed an MBA at Lancaster University in the UK, and attended KAIST Business School. He joined LG Group in 1984 and served as Vice President of LG Electronics from 2007 to 2017. After serving as CEO of Daelim Motorcycle in 2018, he was appointed CEO of Daelim Industrial in 2019.

Geunmo Lee, CEO of Daelim Corporation

Lee Geun-mo has been appointed as the new CEO of Daelim Corporation. Lee, born in 1955, graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering. He served as Senior Vice President at Shinhan Investment Corp. from 1999 to 2004, Vice Chairman of Mirae Asset Daewoo from 2005 to 2008, and CFO & CSO of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering from 2018 to 2019. He joined Daelim Corporation in June as President in charge of finance. Lee will be officially appointed after the shareholders' meeting.

A Daelim Industrial official stated, "We have boldly selected talent who can lead change based on strict performance principles," adding, "Through the professional executive system, we plan to focus on discovering and nurturing talent who can work proactively based on expertise."
