[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] On the 29th, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a meeting between the Pioneer Group and Russian companies and institutions as part of the 'New Northern Youth Future Pioneer Group' project, which is being carried out to implement the New Northern Policy through public participation.
This meeting was organized to support the 2nd Pioneer Group in meeting Russian experts who have entered Korea, listening to vivid voices from the field regarding Korea-Russia economic cooperation, and discovering new cooperative projects between the two countries through mutual communication.
Attendees of this meeting included various Russian figures from the Embassy of Russia in Korea, the Trade Representative Office, and Russian companies and media outlets based in Korea. They provided a comprehensive explanation of the business conditions and investment environment in Russia to the Pioneer Group and gave detailed introductions on specific cooperation between the two countries in areas such as △ education and scientific cooperation status △ transportation and logistics development prospects △ youth cultural exchange cooperation.
The Pioneer Group explored the feasibility of the projects they envisioned through questions and exchanges of opinions with the Russian attendees.
This meeting is evaluated as a valuable opportunity for Russian companies and institutions active in various fields of Korea-Russia cooperation and the Pioneer Group aspiring to enter Russia to directly communicate and build exchange networks.
The 2nd Pioneer Group will supplement their project plans over the next two weeks based on the team advisory guidance and meeting activities conducted so far, and will participate in the final presentation evaluation on the 17th of next month.
