Hanwha General Insurance Signs Business Agreement with Kickboard Sharing Company Lime Korea Hanwha General Insurance signed a business agreement (MOU) with Lime Korea, the domestic corporation of the global electric scooter sharing operator, on the 29th to promote a proper riding culture.

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hanwha General Insurance signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 29th with Lime Korea, the domestic subsidiary of the global electric scooter sharing operator, to promote a proper riding culture.

Hanwha General Insurance will provide insurance services for Lime Korea electric scooter riders. The main coverage includes third-party liability (bodily injury and property damage) caused by the rider's fault while using shared scooters, as well as injury and death accidents of the rider.

A Hanwha General Insurance official stated, "While the micro-mobility sharing economy is becoming active mainly among young people in large cities, the age group using the devices is getting younger, and infrastructure such as dedicated roads and related regulations is still insufficient. We plan to conduct a safety pledge campaign targeting users together with Lime Korea to convey the value of safety before convenience in using the devices."
