Mandatory Personnel Attendance Conducted via Non-Face-to-Face Method
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam conducted the '2020 Emergency Preparedness Posture' training in a non-face-to-face manner on the 28th.
This training was adjusted and implemented by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety as an emergency preparedness posture inspection and training, considering the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and flood damage during this year's Ulchi Taeguk Exercise.
The emergency preparedness posture training targets public institutions including central government ministries and local governments (cities, counties, and districts participate only on the first day). Emergency preparedness officers and essential personnel from departments attended, and the training was adjusted and conducted in a non-face-to-face manner.
The training focused on mastering wartime transition procedures considering actual situations, mastering procedures for handling various Chungmu situations, and improving the performance of basic wartime missions and situation handling capabilities.
The county conducted pre-education and discussions on the organization of the wartime comprehensive situation room and wartime organizational structure formation considering actual situations for the training participants.
Following the dissemination of incident plans by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and Gyeongnam Province, the procedures for each Chungmu situation and the results of situation handling were mastered using the Emergency Preparedness Information System.
A county official stated, “We did our best in the training to perform duties flawlessly in the event of a national emergency,” and added, “We will establish our county's emergency preparedness posture through this inspection and training.”
