[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] A representative of apartment residents wielded a weapon to kill the building manager and fled, but later surrendered to the police.
The Incheon Western Police Station announced on the 28th that they have arrested and are investigating A (63), a representative of residents of an apartment in Seo-gu, Incheon, on suspicion of murder.
A is accused of stabbing B (54, female), the building manager, in the neck with a weapon at the apartment management office where he lives around 10 a.m. that day, causing her death.
He fled immediately after the crime but reportedly surrendered to the police station around 11:30 a.m. the same day.
B was transported to a nearby hospital by the 119 emergency medical team who responded to the report and received treatment but ultimately passed away.
A police official stated, "It appears that A and B frequently had disputes over apartment management issues," and added, "We are investigating the motive and the exact circumstances of the incident with A."
