[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Electrical Safety Corporation held a completion ceremony for its new office building at the Chungju-Eumseong Branch, located in Mokhaeng-dong, Chungju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do, on the 27th, with President Cho Seongwan and employees in attendance, the corporation announced on the 28th.
This is the first self-owned office building established in the 41 years since the branch was founded.
The new Chungju-Eumseong Branch office building was constructed at 33 Mokhaeng Sandan 3-ro, Mokhaeng-dong, Chungju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do. It sits on a total land area of 1,653㎡ (500 pyeong) with a total floor area of 1,978㎡ (598 pyeong), consisting of one basement floor and four above-ground floors.
The Chungju-Eumseong Branch first opened as the Chungju Sub-Office in February 1979, then was upgraded to Chungju Branch and later Chungju Office, finally settling as the current "Chungju-Eumseong Branch" in 2009.
The branch has played a significant role in electrical safety for approximately 300,000 residents of Chungju-Eumseong, as well as contributing to the development of the Chungju Industrial Complex and Chungbuk Innovation City.
President Cho said, "With the completion of the new office building, we will take on a more responsible role in promoting regional development and enhancing the safety and welfare of local residents."
