Height 2.7m, Width 7m, Capable of Registering 336 Awardees... Kiosk Installed Next to Wall... Searchable Records of Past Awards and Photos
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yongsan-gu (Mayor Seongjang Hyun) held an unveiling ceremony for the 'Hall of Fame' in the lobby in front of the main theater of Yongsan Art Hall on the 27th.
The Hall of Fame is a facility created to honor the recipients of the Citizen Award.
Measuring 2.7 meters in height and 7 meters in width, it can register up to 336 awardees. Next to the Hall of Fame wall, a kiosk (unmanned information guidance system) has been installed to allow visitors to search past award details and photos.
The unveiling ceremony lasted for one hour, proceeding in the order of the national anthem, introduction of guests, mayor's commemorative speech, and unveiling. About 100 people attended, including Mayor Seongjang Hyun, past Citizen Award recipients, and related officials.
Mayor Seongjang Hyun of Yongsan-gu said, "Because there are people like you who think of neighbors and the community first, our Yongsan adds a beautiful fragrance," and added, "I once again congratulate the recipients of the Citizen Award."
Since 1994, the district has continued to present the Citizen Award annually around October 18, the Citizen's Day. As of the end of October, there have been 151 recipients.
