“‘Munrijangseong’ to the Floor Leader of the Opposition... An Insult to the Legislature”
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 28th, the People Power Party criticized, "An unprecedented incident occurred where the Blue House security team conducted a body search on Floor Leader Joo Ho-young in front of the meeting room with the President, the Speaker of the National Assembly, and the floor leaders of both ruling and opposition parties ahead of today's policy speech," and questioned, "Is the Blue House blocking even the opposition floor leader's access inside the National Assembly?"
Choi Hyung-doo, the floor spokesperson of the People Power Party, said in a statement, "Have they forgotten the President's purpose of meeting the opposition floor leader and other parliamentary party leaders?" and added, "This is something that should never happen under the Blue House system. Is this a deliberate search and a deliberate provocation?"
Choi, the floor spokesperson, pointed out, "Forcibly conducting a body search on the opposition floor leader inside the National Assembly is a blatant insult to the legislature," and asked, "Is this the answer to the 10 questions?"
Choi further stated, "The People Power Party is angry together with the people at the Blue House's arrogance," and sharply criticized, "Is the opposition floor leader's access to the meeting room being treated like the Great Wall of China or the Jaein Mountain Fortress?"
Choi concluded, "Today's body search of the opposition floor leader by the Blue House is an incident that succinctly reveals the hypocrisy and duplicity of the Moon Jae-in administration's policy speech."
