Guro-gu Operates Total Reemployment Project for Middle-Aged and Older Adults

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) is operating the "Total Reemployment Project for Middle-aged and Older Adults."

Guro-gu announced on the 28th, "We have prepared a total reemployment project to help strengthen the employment capabilities of middle-aged job seekers."

The "Total Reemployment Project for Middle-aged and Older Adults" will be held from the 16th to the 20th of next month at the Seoul Western Center of the Korea Labor Foundation.

On the first day, a life planning program will be conducted, including reflecting on life and establishing a plan for a second life. From the second day, intensive employment training will be provided through a re-advancement program. The training includes how to use Worknet, exploring interests and aptitudes, resume writing methods, interview strategies, and networking skills.

The course is targeted at 25 job seekers aged 40 to under 60 residing in the area. Those who wish to participate can apply in person at the Guro-gu Office Job Plus Center by November 6. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Participants will receive benefits such as proof of job-seeking activities, one-on-one employment counseling, and employment linkage.

A Guro-gu official stated, "We hope this total reemployment project will be helpful to middle-aged adults preparing for their second chapter in life."
