Shilla University Lifelong Education Center Urban Agriculture Practical Training 2nd Term Completion Ceremony.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Silla University (President Park Tae-hak) Lifelong Education Center held the '50+ Life Redesign University Urban Agriculture Practical Education 2nd Term Completion Ceremony' on October 24 at the Future Aviation Convergence Hall.
The completion ceremony was attended by about 50 people, including Choi Kwang-jun, Director of Silla University Lifelong Education Center, Kim Sang-kwon, Head Professor of the 50+ Life Redesign University, faculty members, and students.
Silla University Lifelong Education Center conducted this education program twice a week from April 11 to October 24. Utilizing a dedicated practice facility, the program offered urban agriculture courses such as beekeeping, ginseng cultivation, and orchid cultivation, which are difficult for city dwellers to experience in daily life.
A representative from Silla University stated, "As a result of our efforts to provide substantial practical training and improve educational satisfaction, 46 out of 50 students completed the course."
The 50+ Life Redesign University Urban Agriculture Practical Education is a project organized by the Busan City Senior Welfare Department. Silla University was designated as an operating institution for the 50+ Life Redesign University competitive education program in 2019 and operates a distinctive and differentiated curriculum tailored to the characteristics of the Busan region to cultivate urban agriculture experts.
