[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Former National Assembly member Kim Boo-kyum of the Democratic Party of Korea paid his respects at the funeral of Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee on the 26th.
Former Assembly member Kim met with reporters around 9 p.m. at the funeral hall of Samsung Medical Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where Chairman Lee's funeral was held, and commemorated, "We must remember that Chairman Lee expanded the stage of the Korean economy to the world."
He continued, recalling, "I once met Chairman Lee in relation to supporting the 2011 Daegu World Athletics Championships," and said, "I offered my condolences to Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong."
