[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] A professor at Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to the medical community on the 26th, a professor in the Department of Radiology at Seoul National University Hospital tested positive for COVID-19 at the hospital's screening clinic on the same day.
Seoul National University Hospital immediately reported the infection to the local health center and is currently identifying the professor's movements and contacts.
The professor who tested positive showed symptoms of a sore throat starting on the 23rd and developed a fever from the 24th. On the 25th, the professor stayed at home and visited the Seoul National University Hospital screening clinic that morning to undergo a COVID-19 test.
Seoul National University Hospital investigated the professor's movements from the 21st, two days before symptoms appeared, and confirmed that there was no contact with patients within the hospital. COVID-19 tests will be conducted on four colleagues who were identified as contacts.
